ca 1930’s Art Deco Jet Mourning Cameo with Seed Pearls

A wonderful mourning brooch from the 1930’s.  I’m fairly confident it is carved from jet but I don’t know for sure.  If it isn’t Jet than its Bakelite. Metal is brass and you can see the aged patina on the edges (I didn’t want to clean it as I think it is just perfect the way it is.). Seed pearls adorn the cameo, and they all appear to be there but look like they have possibly shifted a bit and there is larger spaces between them.  I believe the pin on the back was replaced at one time.  Cameo moves some in the setting but is securely inside the setting and will not fall out.  Measures 2 1/2” X 2”.
